Class Description:

• This is a Shade’s Landing Inc./Tactical Firepower certified Minnesota Concealed Carry course. This course is broken down into two segments consisting of an eLearning presentation and a shooting qualification. The eLearning class allows students to complete concealed carry training from the comfort, convenience and privacy of home. Students will learn about the legal requirements for carrying and using firearms in self-defense. After completing the eLearning, students will attend a mandatory shooting qualification. Students must complete the online presentation in entirety prior to attending the shooting qualification. Students who do not complete the eLearning presentation in entirety (including successful completion of the online exam), or who do not participate in or pass the shooting qualification are not eligible to receive a certificate of completion.

• The shooting qualification is administered by Howe Safety & Defense, LLC. Howe Safety & Defense is a Minnesota Department of Public Safety approved firearms training company. The shooting qualification exceeds the requirements of the Minnesota Citizen's Personal Protection Act.

• eLearning: 4-5 hours

• Range: 1 hour

• Price: $75.00 or $100.00 (total price for course). This price includes:

  • $25.00 standard course eLearning Fee or $50.00 advanced course eLearning Fee (paid online to Shade’s Landing); and

  • $50.00 Range Fee (paid cash/check to Howe Safety Defense at range qualification)

Prerequisite:

• Must not be prohibited from possessing a firearm under Minnesota State Statute 624.714.

Special Considerations:

• Shade’s Landing requires our students to enroll directly through their website to access the eLearning presentation. You are provided direct access to their website by clicking the “Sign Up” button below. You will also be able to select your preferred shooting qualification venue at this time. • After signing up, Shade’s Landing will send instructions for how to access and complete the eLearning. After successful completion of the eLearning presentation, Howe Safety & Defense will provide instructions for attending your shooting qualification.

• Only “PAYING” students may attend the online presentation and the in-person shooting qualification.

• Howe Safety & Defense only administers CCW shooting qualifications for our students and the students of Shade’s Landing or the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA).
